1948 Israel Independence War Medic Amubulance Corps Helmet WWII British Surplus

Description

Known as "Magen David Adom", or the Red Star of David. MDA came to be during WWI, where the British Armed Forces had the "Jewish Legion" fighting to liberate Jerusalem from the Ottoman Turks. This is a repurposed WWII British helmet for the 1948 War of Independence which Israel won. This is only the second authentic example I've seen in over 20 years. This spray-painted interlocking block Star of David on a white background is the authentic type of color scheme and style. The rust is awful, but it helps the authenticity. Great for a military museum.
