Description

This thick cardboard sign (moderate-heavy age/handling faults) measures 27" x 21", and features black lettering on a yellow background with white borders. The tears this has does not affect the text or the bold graphics of the sign, it would look great framed under glass. The sign reads: "Invest in Youth - Jewish Community Center Campaign, Apr. 28 to May 9". The sign's "fine print" in the bottom/center border reads: "Gille Show Print Co., 818 Mission St., S.F." (San Francisco, California). The most likely advertises a community center in San Francisco, California (since that is where the signage was produced).
Shown in the last photo is a sole surviving cardboard sign of a Bob Dylan concert from 1964 that is "priceless", notice how it is bold black lettering on a yellow background. In December of 2020, a cardboard sign for a 1968 Grateful Dead concert sold for ,200.
There are no other known examples of this sign. It is the only post-World War Two made cardboard sign that has the word "Jewish" that I have ever seen. This will be shipped flat, very well protected, by FedEx Ground, to anywhere in the USA except Alaska and Hawaii.
