An excellent value in a new budget-priced Schwinn lightweight with standard schwinn frame, Schwinn tubular rims 26" x 1 3/8" nylon sports touring tires, tourist handlebars and saddle. Popular lightweight styling with high performance Schwinn features. Chrome plated fenders, deluxe padded mattress saddle, Schwinn tubular rims, 26" x 1 3/8" nylon sports touring tires, built-in kickstand, forged steel fork. Radiant coppertone, sky blue or violet.Perfect bike for restoration or if you need parts the bike is 99.9% orginal I think the tube was replaced. The tires are sun dried and cracked severly but their still holding air. The 3 sp rim is true and in pretty good shape with minor surface rust and oxidation on spokes, same with front rim tho front has little more rust then rear.I did a quick cleaning with a SOS pad so it may come cleaner with more elbow work, but I'm thinking it may need to be rechromed. Has no chain and brake pads need to be replaced and needs the internal integrated chain shifter cable so once those parts are replaced bike should ride well. The fenders have some dents & rust on them inside and out if you have some skills may be able to hit the dents out. Front wheel axle has been regreased! And all nuts on both rims turn freely by fingers thats rare that they haven't gotten stripped in over 50 yrs. So as you can imagine the paint did not hold up from the weather faded and chipped with surface rust and decals peeling off as well. Seat is in pretty decent condition. Handlebars have surace rust and the orginal hand grips need good cleaning the sprocket & crank look very nice and so does the kickstand and it stays up! Lot of them fall partially down so when pedaling it hits it. The pedals look good they rotate in bracket. I try to be accurate and upfront with as much info as I can provide, but I'm not a expert and I'm human if I missed anything. If you have any other questions or need additional pics please ask. Thank you.
