    Description

    LARGE INDOOR TINTYPE THE KEPLER MEN AND SURFACE LASIES LOOKING AT A PHOTOGRAPH IN MT. HOPE OHIO I sold another tintype from the same estate of them playing croquet in Mt. Hope Ohio about a month ago on eBay. This one measures 5 3/8” X 4 1/4’. It shows the Surface ladies between the Kepler men posing with a photo album. About 1870s-80s. Both the Kepler’s and the Surface’s are related to relatives that lived in Mt. Hope, Ohio in Preble county before the Civil War. From a private estate in southwest Ohio. In VG+ condition with no rust and a very shallow thin dent at the top of the tintype. (See last picture)  Free shipping in the U.S. (see all 8 pictures)
