    Description
Here is a rare original APRIL 1975 SCHWINN STINGRAY 20" BICYCLE! (DL Serial Number) This bike is from the era when most everything was cool! (the HEMICUDA, Mach 1 Mustang, and Camaro Z-28 come to mind!)  This bike has been in VERY long term storage and has not been owned by collectors. Be the first to get this bike back into the light and enjoy it!
*The bike is in the original and very appealing KOOL LEMON YELLOW factory painted color. (same cool color as the Lemon Peeler Krate bike) The bike has cool frame and forks with original paint, original screen chainguard, wide apehanger handlebars, matching Schwinn hand grips, chrome rear fender, (no front fender) cool rear sissy bar, chrome single speed "mag" sprocket,  Schwinn reflector pedals, (have lots of wear) and so much more ! I dont know where you would find another like it! It is awesome! The bike is an original single speed with operable brakes. Has a cool slightly newer long black banana seat.  It has the original chrome Schwinn knurled S-7 rear rim with a Bendix hub. The front rim was replaced at some point. Both front and rear tires hold air. They are slightly newer replacement tires. A fun bike to ride, display, or restore!
*This one has been in super long term storage and cannot wait to be enjoyed once again! I found this in a boat house on Lake Geneva Wisconsin! It was owned by a young lady who rode it all the time when she was little. She loved the yellow color. IF YOU KNOW your Schwinn history, you may know that Ed Schwinn and the Schwinn family had a place on Lake Geneva and went there often. (probably during the era that the young lady that owned this bike was riding it around)
*Now is your chance to own one of the COOLEST bikes EVER MADE!  Make someone in your life happy with this one. This is a cool bike that you can enjoy for years! It is money in the bank and will only go UP in value! You RARELY find these bikes anymore!  They were all abused and thrown away back in the 1970s-80s. Finding one these days is a big challenge. If you check out Ebay, the selection on any 1960s Stingray bikes is very little. They are very cool and people enjoy owning, riding, and displaying them! Most people do not sell these bikes once they have them. Be the first to get this bike back out in the light and have fun with it! I believe this to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted.
*NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but is not bad for its age! The paint looks fair for a 45+ year old boys bike! LOVE original paint. (has chips scratches etc. The chrome is shiney but is not perfect show quality. Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to).
    NOTE
for the purists. I believe the seat, handlebars and front wheel have been replaced. (see pics) This bike has been in super long term storage)  If you click on any of the pics they get very large to show lots of detail.
Please take a look at all pics for exact condition and email with any questions before you bid.
*Sorry for the LONG description, these bikes really excite me. Sold as is because it is used. I try to list anything I notice with the bike. Keep in mind this is a vintage bike that has probably not been ridden for a while so it may need minor tuning, bearings greased, polishing, etc, These bikes are getting harder to find and are more popular than ever before! You will enjoy owning, riding, and displaying it for years! People always remember these bikes but seldom see them in person. Your new vintage bike will be shipped partially disassembled in a factory bike box. I take them in to have them packaged so they almost always arrive in the same condition as they left us. You may want to consider insurance, just in case. Once it has shipped, I cannot be responsible for lost or damaged items without insurance.
*SHIPPING TIME I ship bikes on Tuesdays and Fridays via Fed Ex. Generally, if I receive your payment by 1 pm central time on Monday, it allows me enough time to get your bike to the shop for packing and to ship along with the Tuesday AM shipment. If I receive your payment by 1 pm central time on Thursday, it gives enough time to have it packed and ship Friday AM. If paid after that time, please expect it to go out with the next shipment.
*SHIPPING COSTS: Fed Ex, USPS, as well as UPS have recently raised their shipping rates due to the higher cost of fuel. Sorry for the slight increase in shipping costs.
*PLEASE NOTE, I WILL NO LONGER BE SHIPPING FULL SIZE BIKES OUTSIDE OF THE USA. This is due to the high cost of shipping and customs. If you are anywhere outside the lower 48 States including Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico contact me before you bid as shipping will cost more. Fed Ex just increased the rates. I can ship to AK, HI, or PR for approx .95. This is a 10+ day service and includes packing. This i the best deal I can get to ship to these locations.
Please do not bid if this is unacceptable.
I always try to keep things as reasonable as I can. If you have a friend or family member in the lower 48 states, I can ship to them for the amount stated in the listing. THANK YOU!
