ES Prussia Neoclassical Scene Pink Rose & Gold Garlands 11 1/8 Inch Bowl
Fabulously beautiful relief molded and reticulated / pierced large porcelain bowl. Decorated in the Royal Vienna style with a central classical / allegorical scene of a Greek or Roman god with a chariot pulled by two horses, a cherub holding a torch flying above, and five women walking on clouds. The scene is framed by gold gilding with gold beading and scrollwork. The sides of the bowl on the inside are ivory and green panels with gold gilt flowers, ribbons, wreaths and garlands and hand painted pink rose garlands. Gold gilding and beading along the edge. Marked on the bottom in green Prov Saxe ES Germany. This mark was used by Erdmann Schlegelmilch (ES Prussia / ES Germany) around circa 1902 and 1938.
Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks.
Measures approximately 11 1/8 inches wide x 3 inches tall.
