Rare Sears 24" Spyder 5 Speed Muscle Bike 1968
I have here a pretty rare Sears Muscle Bike. As far as I can tell by looking at pictures of the original bike, everything is there.
Sears, of course, did not make the bike. My guess is it was made my Schwinn since they were the primary sellers of this type of bike.
One of the rare features on this bike is that it has dual rear brakes and no front brake.
This was an estate sale find and was in pretty rough shape being dirty and with rust.
I took it apart and cleaned and removed as much rust as I could. There was nothing forzen on the bike.
The chain is off of it, but I do have it. It has a Shimano Derailer. I am not familiar with routing the chain. That being said, The bike has not been road tested.
The front tire is ok and holds air.
The rear tire needs to be replaced. I put a new tube in it.
