TELEX CASSETTE COPIER I & COPIER II DUPLICATOR – TWO UNIT SYSTEM

This auction is for a Telex model COPIER I and Copier II audio cassette duplicator.
The Telex catalogue numbers are 88201-000 / serial number 11187 and 88202-000 / serial number 10419.
The Copier I is a master/copy unit and the Copier II is a copy/copy unit, enabling three duplicates per run. [Add on capability enables an additional COPIER II unit to be connected so as to duplicate five cassettes in one pass.]
Format is half track mono, two channel. Duplication speed is 30ips. Duplicates a C90 in about three minutes. Features automatic erase on selected tracks (1, 1&2, 2). Two button control: lighted white “copy” button and lighted amber “rewind” button.
Units are in very good condition. Tape heads, rollers and guides show minimal wear. They has been in controlled climate storage for a number of years.
Duplicator was recently checked out and after making several runs, appears to be in proper working order. All functions seem to work as they should, although the rewind was a bit sluggish. Cleaning, lubrication and replacement of belts are likely indicated.
The operating manual and extensive factory service manual are included. Also included, two interconnect cables.
The blue vinyl covered cases are in good condition, with some small dings at the corners. The plastic tops are very clean. There are no original plastic covers. The missing label on the master cassette well has been replaced.
Bagged units will be shipped together, double boxed, packaged with rigid foam and cardboard fillers for safe arrival.
